Ibiza & Antwerp Reunited! – The Ibiza Reunion

Ibiza comes to Antwerp for one night only for the annual Ibiza Reunion. Smokin Jo (whose stage name comes from the boxer, Smoking Joe Fraser!) talks about how she got into the club scene, by going to illegal parties every night in the late 80s, when she realised there were no women DJs around and thought she’d give it a whirl. Jo is the only female to have won the prestigious DJ Magazine’s DJ of the Year Award and this kick-started her career in Ibiza, which in turn saw her smashing clubs all over the world, sometimes even playing five gigs in one night!! After 15 years, Jo still holds her We Love residency at Space and has played in pretty much all the major clubs in the world, as well as performed with the likes of Grace Jones and the Petshop Boys
